Chris Van Pelt

Client Services Associate

Chris Van Pelt, son of Roger Van Pelt, started working with his father as a Client Services Associate while still studying and playing soccer at Penn State Abington.  Chris had always taken an interest in finance and economics but went into his freshman year of college as a general business major, still unsure of the career he wanted to pursue.  That was until he sent a text at 10:30pm saying, “Hey dad, what exactly do you do for a living?” which was appropriately responded to with, “I’ll call you tomorrow”. During that phone call Chris quickly realized that as a financial advisor he would be able to expand his curiosity and understanding of finance and economics as well as match his personal desire to help people.

After graduating from Penn State Abington with a Business degree with a concentration in Personal Finance, Chris started working full-time for VPWA in 2019.  He immediately started to attend client meetings and getting to know the clients and what’s important to them.  Over the years, Chris’ responsibilities have expanded and works side-by-side with his dad, and the whole VPWA team, to help meet their clients’ varying needs.

Currently holding the SIE and Series 7 registrations, Chris enjoys assisting Roger with the “number crunching” of a financial plan and illustrating different strategies to help client’s work toward their goals.  But, his favorite part of his chosen career, is the deep, meaningful relationships he’s developed and the expressions of appreciation from our clients/friends.

In his free time, Chris is either in the gym, playing soccer, or coaching high school soccer at New Hope Solebury HS.
